Java Studio Creator (JSC) and JavaServer Faces
In addition to the Designer, Chart FX integrates into JSC. You can literally drag a chart onto your JSF template, change the size visually, edit its properties, and even visually tie in a data binding. You can also integrate buttons (or other user interface tools) that will call on internal methods and change property settings when the users interact with your application. And it is surprisingly easy (assuming you have JSC, of course).
Online Delivery
Chart FX charts can be delivered in a number of different formats. PNG and JPEG files will generally be the most common, but you can also integrate SVG and Flash formats. Usually, the API will generate the HTML dynamically for you. However, you have another option of outputting the bitstream directly. If you need a more dynamic charting method, and you know your users will be using the Windows environment with the .NET framework, there is even a client-side "Active Chart" feature that enables you to build an entire interface for users to customize and print their own charts on-the-fly. <

The server has been tested for performance, and the results are available on their Web site. Suffice to say, this looks to be enterprise-worthy.
A Great Utility
Chart FX for Java looks to be a great utility for J2EE developers to integrate dynamic charting solutions into their applications. A free "community edition" is available to play around with, but to deliver charts online requires purchasing the full application (including 1-year support) at a $4,499.00 base sticker price. If you really need a charting engine, this is a worthwhile investment.
