Newsbreaker(P)
Premier Internet Corp.'s Newsbreaker family of applets have taken scrolling text to a professional level. Newsbreaker(P) will display text and images, Newsbreaker(F) displays statistical information in columned format and Newsbreaker(FID) has been specially designed for Flight Information Displays at airport terminals (one of the first non-Internet Java applications to be developed since Java's initial conception) and simultaneously on the Internet.
Usage: A Demo version is available for downloading from the Newsbreaker Web site. Basic instructions are provided for setting the parameters, and more detailed instructions are available with additional parameter information.
Java Source is not included as this is a commercial applet. Premier Internet Corp. sells Newsbreaker on a per channel basis. A "channel" is defined as the individual ascii text file from which the Newsbreaker applet reads the information (which is presented inside the applet). One Newsbreaker applet can present many "channels" at once.
Newsbreaker(P) and Newsbreaker(F) retail for $500.00 for the first channel and $250.00 for each additional channel for use on the Internet. For Intranet use Newsbreaker(P) and Newsbreaker(F) are both provided with 10 channels. Both Newsbreakers are $5.00 per terminal with a minimum price of $2,000.00 if you have less than 400 terminals.
